Just Call Me Bruce Bogtrotter

Change of plans this week...

Usually, I'm doing Motherhood is Calling Mondays, but I'm having to forgo that this week, which is totally crazy considering it's Mother's Day today (or yesterday, depending on when you're reading this).

However, we're packing up our house for the imminent move.  We find out this week our moving date, which could be days (oh yes, days) or weeks away.  So this Mama is very stressed, as in the "bring in the coffee and five layered chocolate cake" kinda stress.  Let's top this off with the fact that we're truck shopping for Pat because his died last week.

Make that two chocolate cakes, please.

Could you pray for me this week, puh-lease, if you have a moment?   These are two really big things in our lives, but there are about a hundred smaller things too, so the stress level is just u-g-l-y.

Thanks for your prayers, friends!  I'll be back soon, back to the Jamie who loves a good laugh and story.  In the meantime, I'm strapping the packing tape to my belt loop and putting my sharpie marker in my pocket protector.  I hope I remember to take them off before I run into any of you at Wal-Mart.  You might reconsider being my friend.

Especially when you see me looking like Bruce Bogtrotter.  Know who he is?  If you don't, read Matilda by Roald Dahl.

Then you'll understand.

...Oh, wait.  Pat just realized our AC downstairs isn't working.  Georgie and Gracie, our adorably lovable doggies (saying through clenched teeth) have managed to chew through the thermostat wire outside.

THREE five-layered chocolate cakes.  Do I hear four?

SOLD!

PS  Happy Mother's Day, ladies!  I pray your day was beautiful, that you got spoiled rotten and that your downstairs AC was working if you live in Arizona, beautiful scorching Arizona.

    God's plan is PERFECT. Even when it's stressful.

  2. Praying for you Jaime! Chocolate Cake and a lot of prayer sound like a great way to make it through...

    I moved with only one toddler and being pregnant and thought I was going to die. I can't imagine doing it in your shoes. But we all make it through.

    I'm praying that your next few weeks are full of grace, patience and supernatural strength!

  3. Oh sweetie - I feel your pain! I moved on the day I gave birth to my 4th. The last few weeks I ate chocolate chips and M & M's like they were the only thing keeping me sane - maybe they were. Hang in there. It will be soon be over and you'll be unpacking in your new home making beautiful memories! {{{hugs}}}
