Do you do this? Do you pray and meditate and ask God to give you a word that is your theme for the upcoming year?
We did it together on New Year's Eve and our words were fun and interesting. I'm excited to see what God is going to do with them.
Pat's word was preparedness. Hmmmm, okay, God. What exactly are we being prepared for? Physically, emotionally, mentally.... We just don't know yet. It will be interesting to look back at the end of the year and see what God has done.
My word was (wait for it, wait for it...) adventure. ACK! Adventure?! I'm so excited and scared out of my wits at the same time. I'm definitely a girl who likes her ducks in a row, a schedule to follow, predictability and routine. I sound like a blast, right? But, buried deep down in my heart somewhere is a streak of restlessness and wanderlust that has yet to be satisfied.
Oh, boy. Hold onto your hats, ladies. This is going to be fun! (...and totally out of my comfort zone...)

I like it! I'm not sure what our word would be. Maybe that'll be something we do tonight...think of a word for our new year. Sending a hugemongous hug your way...just because.
